Privacy notice

When you access the secure information request response tool, the system logs information about your actions on the site, including your IP address, browser and time of access. Most of this information will only be accessed in the event it is necessary to resolve a technical issue, and automatically deleted after 90 days. We process this information because it is necessary to ensure that our systems work and in our legitimate interest.

In order for the University to prove you have received a response to your request, we will maintain a report showing whether you have accessed the site. This will normally be kept for no longer than 2 years. However if your request results in a complaint, we may retain information for a longer period until the complaint is resolved. We retain this information in order to meet our legal obligation to respond to your request, or in order to respond to your concern or complaint.

The University uses Microsoft as a data processor. Information about the University’s agreement with Microsoft is available on the JISC website.
